Position Title: Employment/Employee Relations Manager
Location: Asheville, NC
The Employment/Employee Relations Manager is responsible for developing effective recruitment and applicant selection processes and for maintaining a proactive employee relations program. This position will provide guidance and recommendations for staff selection and problem resolution of employee issues, front-line communication programs, organizational effectiveness and training programs and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that effective and flexible recruitment and selection processes are in place
- Maintains job descriptions and participates in development of new positions
- Responsible for all staff handbooks, ensuring that they are current and compliant with all regulatory requirements
- Investigates a variety of Human Resources related issues for the purpose of ensuring that effective, legally compliant resolutions are arrived at in a timely manner
- Evaluates and resolves human relations and work related problems and meets with management to determine appropriate action
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources or business administration, and a minimum of 3 years HR experience is required. Strong communication, written and verbal skills and the ability to respond to customers in an efficient and expedient manner preferred. Human Resources experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage a variety of administrative assignments, including confidential and general administrative and clerical duties. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities and situations requiring judgment and poise. Detail-oriented and well-organized job ethic with a demonstrated ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer skills.

Position Title: Insurance Follow-up
Location: Asheville, NC
This position follows-up all delinquent patient accounts in a timely manner through the daily processing of all insurance related correspondence and denials.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists patients with billing inquires by providing necessary information and documentation according to office policies
-Manages all unpaid or denied claims by rebilling, calling third party insurance carriers, and by internet access on a daily basis until account is paid or placed in patient responsibility
- Records any activity between provider, patients, and third party payers
- Bills secondary insurance plans as necessary
- Processes all account adjustments and/or write-offs that are within the scope of billing system security
- Enters charges into billing system
- Posts patient payments into billing system
- Assists in investigation/processing of credit balances
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years' medical office experience required. Associates degree in business or health sciences field preferred. Experience with Medicare preferred. Familiarity of hospital medical records a plus. Requires previous experience or knowledge of insurance cost reimbursement. Experience with government payors preferred.
Excellent computer, data entry and clerical skills, knowledge of business office procedures required. Must possess excellent interpersonal, clerical, telephone and communication skills. The ability to multi-task, deal effectively with a variety of situations requiring judgment and poise is necessary. Attention to detail and organizational abilities are essential.

Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Asheville, NC
Provides administrative support to the Communications & Human Resources Director and the Communications/Human Resources Division. Executes administrative assignments, including dictated, written or composed correspondence. Performs a variety of confidential and general duties in support of the Human Resources function. Supports positive and productive relations with AAA staff and others.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all employees.
- Develops, maintains, and prepares reports and graphs in Excel, Word, and other MS Office programs.
- Prepares letters, memoranda, reports, electronic communications and other documents from dictated, handwritten, or other sources.
- Prepares agendas and related materials for practice leadership and committee meetings.
- Attends and provides related administrative support for practice meetings.
- Schedules appointments, conferences, meetings, arranges travel schedule and reservations.
- Supports communications and interactions with physicians, CRNAs and other practice personnel to ensure effective and efficient working relationships.
- Supports communications and interactions with representatives of other practices, business and community contacts.
- Assures availability of necessary supplies and services for executive office operations.
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Three years' experience as an administrative assistant preferably in a healthcare setting required. An understanding of the importance of a responsive customer service orientation in meeting the needs of employees is required.
